Introduction
The Department of Radiology and Imaging is a well-established department at Thumbay Hospital, Fujairah. This department continuously works to provide patients with the most up-to-date technological advances in diagnostic tests. The imaging department is equipped with state-of-the-art radiology equipment and provides round-the-clock services under the guidance of highly qualified and experienced radiologists. Emergency services are also available 24×7.
Overview
Established in 2006, the department has developed into a full-fledged imaging department with the latest imaging machines, including digital X-ray, digital C-arm, portable X-ray, 16-slice CT scanner, and ultrasonography machines. Imaging facilities are provided for both outpatient and inpatient services at Thumbay Hospital, as well as for private sector hospitals and physicians. The department is affiliated with almost all medical insurance companies.

- Special radiology investigations: HSG, IVU, barium studies, fistulogram, micturating cystography
- CT scans – whole body, plain and contrast-enhanced, CT urography, CT angiography
- Ultrasound: routine ultrasound of abdomen, neck, scrotum, and soft tissues
- Obstetric/Gynecological ultrasound: per abdomen & transvaginal sonography, 3D, 4D, anomaly scan, biophysical profile
- Color Doppler ultrasound for pregnancy, carotids, and deep vein thrombosis
- Breast sonomammography
- Ultrasound-guided aspiration, FNAC, and biopsy
