As part of its ongoing commitment to maternal and child healthcare, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah successfully conducted a Lactation and Nutrition Awareness Class on Saturday, 13 June 2026, for expectant mothers and mothers who delivered at the hospital.
The educational session was led by Dr. Anusha Bhaskar, Specialist Pediatrician, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah, who delivered an informative presentation on “Balanced Diet for Lactating Mothers” and the importance of breastfeeding in ensuring optimal growth and development of newborns.
Dr. Anusha emphasized the significance of exclusive breastfeeding and highlighted how proper nutrition for lactating mothers contributes to the health and well-being of both mother and baby.
The program concluded with an interactive Question and Answer Session, allowing participants to discuss their concerns and receive expert guidance on breastfeeding and newborn care.
The event witnessed active participation from expectant mothers and Thumbay-delivered mothers, who appreciated the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and professional support in their breastfeeding journey.
Through such educational initiatives, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah continues to promote awareness, empower mothers with evidence-based healthcare information, and support healthy beginnings for newborns and their families.
