Thumbay Hospital day Care, Muweilah – Sharjah, the leading multispecialty day care hospital under Thumbay Group’s healthcare division, conducted a conference on ‘Recent Trends in Medicine’ on 22nd December 2017 at Radisson Blu, Sharjah.
Leading doctors of the hospital shared their experience and delivered talks during the conference. Dr. Jayakumar S., Specialist – Internal Medicine, spoke on the topic ‘Medical nutrition therapy and lifestyle in type 2 diabetes mellitus.’ Dr. Meenaxi Upadhyay, Specialist Gynecologist, spoke about ‘Poly cystic ovarian disease’. ‘Prevention of surgical site infection: Best practices’ was the topic presented by Dr. Arun Kumar Srivastava, Specialist Anesthesiologist. Dr. Santosh Kumar, Specialist Radiologist presented the topic ‘Basics of Chest X-ray Reading & Interesting Spotters.’ Dr. Kishore Kumar Katam, Specialist Endocrinologist of Thumbay Hospital – Ajman, spoke on the topic ‘When to treat low TSH?’
The conference was attended by over 175 healthcare professionals across broad disciplines including doctors, nurses, researchers and policy makers. It was accredited by the Ministry of Health as CME.
The speakers were presented with mementos. Certificates were awarded to the participants.
