Thumbay Hospital Fujairah Celebrates World Diabetes Day
Thumbay Hospital – Fujairah, the leading academic hospital under Thumbay Group’s Healthcare Division, celebrated World Diabetes Day with various programs on 15th November 2019.
His Excellency Marwan Khameis Abdulla Hassan Bin Alshaikh, Protocol Officer of the Government of Fujairah was the chief guest of the event. His Excellency Abdullah Saeed, the Director of Emirates Red Crescent, Fujairah and Capt. Ahmed Al Yammahi, representing the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs, Fujairah (GDRFA) were special guest. The COO of Thumbay Hospital Fujairah, Dr. Shihad Khader and the Medical Director Dr. Osama Rizk were also present.
Health awareness talks were given by Dr. Sathyanarayanan – Specialist and HoD of Internal Medicine, and Dr. Hossameldein Elsheiikh – Specialist Internal Medicine, aiming to create awareness on preventing diabetes by adopting a healthy lifestyle. Around 500 people attended the event, including members of various associations.
