Thumbay Hospital Fujairah Organizes Breast Cancer Awareness Event
Thubay Hospital – Fujairah conducted a breast cancer awareness event – ‘Think Pink with Thumbay’ – on 18th October 2019, to mark the occasion of breast cancer awareness month. Dr. Osama Rizk, the Medical Director of the hospital was the chief guest of the event, which included awareness talks, free doctor consultations, free mammograms and a balloon-release ceremony.
The expert talks were delivered by the hospital’s specialist doctors; chaired by Dr. Esmat (Specialist Gynecologist), with Dr. Hanan Arafa (Specialist Radiologist) and Dr. Nashwa Ibrahim (Specialist Dermatology & Cosmetology) being the main speakers. Ms. Aisha Mohammed Alkaabi (Sr. Construction Engineer – FEWA) and Ms. Huda Obaid (Sr. Connection Engineer – FEWA) were the guests of honor.
Free consultations for the attendees followed, along with free mammograms as advised by the doctor. Later the participants released pink balloons, to further spread the message of breast cancer awareness.
